Employment Opportunities Title: Clinic Doctor Currently Parker College of Chiropractic is accepting applications for the position of Clinic Doctor. This position will report directly to the Clinic Director and/or POD Director. Job Objectives To provide a positive clinical experience for interns. Mentor and supervise interns in examination, treatment and management of patients. Monitor the progress and training of interns at his/her clinic. Prepare interns for clinical practice with superior knowledge, skills and attitudes. Job Responsibilities: · Supervise patient examinations and treatments, and guide interns in patient management. · Assist the interns in determining a working diagnosis and treatment regimen. · Monitor proper patient progress by re-examinations and progress consultations with the intern. · Supervise the intern with direct patient care in preparation for practice. · Evaluate interns individually on the basis of clinical skill, attitude, attendance, knowledge and patient management. · Supervise and oversee the intern "report of findings" and "informed consent". · Ensure that patient records are adequately maintained and audited, including follow-ups on patient risks and referrals. · Assist in programs for orienting new interns to the clinical experience. · Ensure that interns follow the established clinic business procedures. · Participate in clinical instruction for interns, both in lectures and in clinical settings. · Identify the need and recommend additional instruction to interns found deficient in any aspect of patient care. · Monitor intern progress toward clinical requirements for graduation, and aid the intern in fulfilling said requirements. · Comply with College and Clinic policies, regulations and procedures and maintain a Texas Chiropractic license as regulated by the Texas State Board. · Assist in development of clinic plans and programs, in conjunction with the institutional goals and objectives. · Maintain knowledge of each chiropractic technique taught at the College. · Attend clinic staff doctor meetings and other required meetings. · Prepare reports as may be requested by the Dean of Clinics, and/or Clinic Director of respective clinics. · Participate in professional or community projects or associations to promote chiropractic and the clinic's services, in accordance with the policies and criteria developed by the College. · Assist in public relations programs to foster chiropractic and clinic services within the community. · Assist in administering the clinic entrance and exit examinations.
Job Qualifications: · Five years experience in patient care in private practice · Good public relation skills · Professional appearance · Good organizational skills · Fluent in English, including speaking and writing skills · Flexible in accepting a varied work schedule (day time, evening, and Saturday hours) · Willingness to function as a team member in a large clinic environment and in the educational processes within the clinic · Ability to teach and motivate student interns in their clinical residency · Knowledge of and commitment to the chiropractic philosophy of health care · Ability to work overtime as needed
Education Requirements: Doctor of Chiropractic, Active Texas chiropractic license in good standing. Salary and Benefits: Salary is commensurate with experience.
