Good News

During the 2011 Legislative Session in Austin and the subsequent special session, Senator John Carona worked tirelessly for the things that are important to him.  As he has done for his many years of service in the Texas Legislature, he fought for what he knows to be right for both Senate District 16 and for all of Texas.  In these battles, he worked diligently to help us protect Chiropractic against the attacks from the TMA and our other enemies.  He was instrumental in helping us pass legislation to prevent discrimination against Chiropractic from the insurance carriers in Texas.  Because of his work this year and his lengthy history of contribution to Texas, he was awarded the 2011 TCA Legislator of the Year award.  Because of his strong ties and friendship with TCA District 5, we were allowed to present the award to him.  This picture commemorates that event, which took place on September 1, 2011.  We are grateful to Senator Carona for his efforts and his excellent representation in Austin.  We also look forward to working with him in the years to come.
